What is the full flowering of “playing from the heart”? What does it feel like, and how do we get there?
At its deeper reaches, playing from the heart means becoming a vessel for your art. There’s an experience of trusting your heart to guide you so deeply that you actually feel it guiding your movements and actions. There’s a listening so deep that it will draw your audiences in before you even play a single note. There’s a letting go so deep that it feels like you’re resting on the divine ground of being as you play.
Day 21 of 100 Days of Soulforce:
– What is the “entelechy” (the full flowering) of playing from the heart?
– This is the experience we all long for as performers
– What it means to become a vessel for your art
– Letting yourself be moved by your heart
– Listening so deeply that your audience goes silent before you start playing – Trusting the divine ground of being
– Why cultivating what is *alive* within us is the core of Soulforce Artistry

What’s “100 Days of Soulforce”?
I’m embarking on a mission to spread the word about Soulforce Performing Arts because I believe it is a needed message for artists of all kinds in our times. To that end, I’m making 100 videos over the coming 100 days (or so) to explain all the different angles and ideas, and to hopefully spark inspiration in you! Each video will have inspirational and practical ideas for you to bring more Soulforce to your life as a performing artist.
